First here is an update on what’s been happening over the past week…then I’ll get into a bit of detail to show how amazing God is and works.
Now for a bit more recent happenings. Wednesday we headed out to Cadillac to meet a couple who have been sponsoring two children at C4KK for a few years, we’ve never met them in person (only via email), and it was wonderful to put a face to the name 🙂 Wednesday evening we were welcomed at Cherry Grove Church of Nazarene with a potluck dinner and then our presentation….thank you everyone for the beautiful welcome! Then we were up until 2:30 am talking!
Thursday was kind of a “hang around the house day” in Cadillac. Still dealing with medical stuff, our hostess contacted her homeopathic doctor (also a fellow Christian) who says part of her ministry is seeing/treating missionaries and pastors free of charge. Chuck told me before heading out to the doctor “God said I’d be taken somewhere I don’t want to go but something good would come of it.” So off to the doctor we went….who then went on to tell Chuck exactly how he was feeling (physically and emotionally) and gave us several supplements (again free of charge, saying it was part of her tithe).
Then after a delicious meal with a beautiful family I was told one of the girls has put Saved By God’s Grace as one of her causes on her website. Please visit her site and see the beautiful and practical items she makes…she made Chuck and I one (and a few for us to hand out back in Kenya) and they really are nice 🙂
God has and continues to amaze me with the people He brings into our lives. Please be aware of those around you and the miracle they are each and every day!
During our stay in Cadillac I also got to pet a baby rabbit
and see how a “chicken tractor” works.
God continually brings people into our lives who I definitely do not deserve but am ever so thankful for! And to prove He is working…..a top surgeon in Midland has agreed to see Chuck on a Sunday morning…free of charge! Thanks just aren’t enough!
Haven’t had internet for awhile. How are things going with the 17 year olds in Kenya?
