Well we are down to the wire for our return trip to Kenya. Tonight Chuck put credit on our Kenyan SIM cards so we can be in contact as soon as we land. Tomorrow we’ll be packing the last of the suitcases (receiving a few more items to take to the kids and I received a Duck Dynasty calendar which must make it into the suitcase!), I’ll be saying “see you later” to girlfriends and again in the evening with family. Saturday we need to leave by 8 am in order to get to Detroit with plenty of time to check in all our luggage (please pray we have a compassionate check in person who will discount or even waive the charges).
Last night we spent a wonderful evening with a dear aunt. We had a heartfelt conversation, a good meal and she even replenished my microwave popcorn supply! The evening was one of those foggy, warm evenings (we even had a sudden thunderstorm) so I had to take a few photos and admire the beauty of the day:
I’m so sorry I can’t fully express my love and thanks to you all for EVERYTHING you have been a part of during our time in the US, for the support and love you have shown both of us and for your continued prayers. I look forward to hitting the ground in Kenya with a fresh mind and a heart full of love to pass along. Please forgive me if I don’t post much in the next few days as we begin our travel time back to Kenya, but stay tuned for updates as soon as I am up and running back “home”.
