Sunday mornings are normally slow around here. No workers are on the compound and we use it as a “catch up” type of day (reading, computer stuff, etc.). However Chuck prepared the basketball area for another delivery on Monday:
and today more stone was delivered. The truck squeezed through the opening and “stepped on” the stone already there to smash it down (don’t you love all my technical phrases!?).
We also walked around the down shamba to check on the progress of the down well (thank you donor!). Roman was busy watering the cement.
On our way back to the house we found a little goat had wiggled through the fence to our side but had his rope wrapped around his leg so tightly he couldn’t put weight on it. So Chuck, my hero, unwrapped the leg and scooted him back through the fence. The goat seemed much happier 🙂
We also checked out the upper floor of the mission home. Almost all the windows are in and we are trying to figure out what to do with the openings in between the rooms….we are thinking a heavy curtain material so it can be opened up for church, movies, etc. but shut during study times. Just have to wait and see what is available here.
Taking a stroll over to the children’s home I found most of them busy making chapati! The younger ones were outside shooting water guns at each other 🙂
And I am one happy camper with my new clothes line!
Sunday’s are a great time to get together with fellow believers to pray, worship, read and learn Scripture…. but we attempt to do these things on a daily basis and we thank God each day for another day to serve Him, whether that be on Sunday or any other day of the week!
