Chuck and I started having Wednesday night “praise & worship” with the kids. Thank you to Ryan at Desert Breeze Church who helped me with lyrics 🙂 The first song they learned was Everlasting God. Sorry no video but here’s a picture.
Thursday work continued on the upper floor roof of the Mission Home:
And we had visitors from Taiwan! They were actually visiting our neighbor but he encouraged them to come by and chat. We chatted Wednesday afternoon and again today before they left the country! I love how God brings people who have similar desires together…Hope is a teacher who is very committed to helping the poor of the poor and knows the importance of education and (I’m so sorry if I misspell your name) Ting-way is a college student (he is an exchange student currently in South Africa) and wants to use his knowledge in science (he told me what he is studying but it went way over my head!) to help the poor and underprivileged.
Through our chats it seemed we were all getting excited to see where this new friendship would lead! I pray they both have a safe journey back…Hope to Taiwan and Ting-Way to South Africa.
Chuck and I laughed afterwards that we should call the Mission Home IHOP…International House of People! What a blessing to meet people not only from around the world but locally who have the desire in their hearts to help this country and its children. “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” Ecclesiastes 4:12b
