While we were in the States my daughter, Tarrin, and I each purchased a book titled Wreck This Journal.  It’s basically a book of randomness.  Each page instructs you to do something with or on the page and I was thinking “that’s a lot of pages to do something with by myself”.  Well, Tarrin told me later she was going to have her roommates take a page and I thought “hey, I have 26 kids here who can work on this journal” and maybe the staff too.  So today I started with the little kids and will eventually work through all 26 kids (and staff) working on a page in the journal.  Here’s Emma, Dan, Edward and Bonface working on their page:

Dan’s page said “Color outside of the lines.”

Bonface’s page said “Fill this page with circles”

Emma’s page said “Close your eyes. Connect the dots from memory.”

Edward’s page said “Scribble wildly, violently, with reckless abandon.” I did have to explain ‘wildly’, ‘reckless’ and ‘abandon’ but then he did a great job!

They had a fun time with randomness and Emma was the perfect helper in helping the boys to understand the directions (she is one smart cookie!).
