Now for some sad news. Some of you are aware of this but recently a young boy we knew went to be with the Lord after his fight with cancer. Back in 2010 we visited Samwell in the hospital and he had such a warm, wonderful smile.

Throughout Samwell’s illness Saved By God’s Grace assisted the family with medicine costs. Now the family is seeking assistance in clearing Samwell’s hospital bill. A typical scenario here in Kenya is the hospital bill must be cleared completely before the body can be released, meaning the family can not have a funeral until the hospital bill is paid. Samwell’s family negotiated to pay a portion of the bill in order to have a funeral and then pay the remainder of the bill, to which the hospital agreed. The family has had Samwell’s funeral and are now trying to raise the necessary funds to clear the hospital. That amount is $1875 and if you are able to assist the family with this it would be greatly appreciated. You can go to our donation site, fill out the form and write in the comment section “Samwell”.
