Today is the funeral of our neighbors father. He was born in 1896….yes you read that correctly, 1896! He must have seen many changes in this country during his lifetime. And as I write this I can hear the loud speaker cranking up in preparation for the gathering.
As family and friends celebrate his life today I pray God’s love will resonate throughout the grief of saying goodbye to a loved one.
Please think about where you’ll spend eternity. Whether you have 20, 50, or 118 years on this planet the most important decision you make is in regards to your salvation.
….for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23
Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! Romans 5:7-9
I pray we can see and live the life Christ has for each of us and His glory will be known throughout the land.
