Forgive my tardiness in introducing you to our newest cow….Tasha.  Apparently Chuck thought I had already done this and told people to check out the blog for pictures of her…sorry, but here they are now.

Before she came to join her fellow bovines we had to upgrade the cow shelter (this is not the one where Breezy and Espresso stay, but a separate enclosure).  That’s Fudge making sure the guys are doing a good job 🙂

Tasha is around 8 months pregnant and should deliver at the end of November

She seems to enjoy the upgrade

Tasha likes her acrobatics…not a good thing for a 1600 pound cow. We are installing a bar across the front so she will no longer be able to do this.

After her calf is born Tasha should produce around 30-35 liters of milk daily (this is what we’ve been told)!  If so, we’ll continue to have enough for the kids and plenty to sell.  We are often asked by sellers for more milk because we don’t water the milk down (as is common practice) and people love the taste.  It is in the works to add another cow (we still need $500 in order to purchase the cow) who also will produce approximately 30 liters per day (again, we’ve been told).  Praying this will be a self (God) sustaining project which will allow funds to be used for Benevolence.

Again, sorry for not showing you Tasha earlier and if you’d like to help with the additional cow please visit our donation page. If sending a check please write “new cow” on the memo line or if donating online put “new cow” in the comment section.  Thank you and God bless.
