Nope, that’s not a theological statement, I mean really meet Faith!

Faith-Wanjiru

Faith will be staying at C4KK while she completes her Class 8 year of education at Koma Ranch Primary (this is the school our kids attend).  Why you ask?  Let me tell you Faith’s story.

Faith was living with her sister who is married (she has 10 siblings).  They were providing for her as best they could but Faith was part of the C4KK Outreach to the school because she was identified as being in need of assistance and received a new uniform, shoes, underware, etc.  During the December holiday Faith went to stay with another sister in a distant location (Nakuru).  She returned to her home the day before she was to start school and when she walked into the home the place was empty.  She called the sister but no answer and when she called the brother-in-law (the sister’s husband) he stated the sister had taken everything and left.  Neighbors said they thought the family was moving since a truck came and packed all the belongings.  The husband said she even took the sim cards from the phones and left the phones!

Faith was left with only the belongings she had taken to Nakuru and that did not include her school uniform, shoes, etc.  Her sister had taken everything Faith needs to begin school…including a place to stay.

Faith stayed at a neighbors for the night and then she came to C4KK for help.  After discussing the situation it was determined she could not be sent back to stay with her brother-in-law by herself and since this is her last year of primary she will be staying with us to finish out her primary education.  At that time she will then return to her sister and family in Nakuru.

So do I have another reason for introducing you to Faith, yup.  She needs a sponsor.  Faith’s sponsorship will be $40/month or $480 for the year.  Plus she will need replacement items as mentioned above which will run $250 to get her geared up for school.

If you are interested in sponsoring Faith please contact us and we’ll direct you in the procedure (it’s easy, really!).  Thank you for prayerfully considering helping another of God’s children as we continue being Jesus’ hands and feet here in Kenya.
