There are some days when my heart hurts so badly for what my eyes see I simply want to turn off the world. There is so much pain and suffering yet many so-called Christians on their way to/from church are (sometimes literally) walking over those who desperately need help and hope. C4KK Benevolence Fund continues to strive in seeing the need and assisting where God leads.
I don’t always want to see the pain and suffering but once seen it’s extremely difficult (in my humble opinion) to “unsee”. I’ve talked with a few missionaries and they’ve agreed, once you see the suffering here in Kenya (where we are located and where these other missionaries are working) you can’t simply go back to your home country and pretend you never saw it. So how do I reconcile between wanting to be in my home country, where friends, family and familiarity are located yet wanting to serve God in the country He has brought me to? Not an easy answer but one I am trusting God to help me find.
So what brought all this about? Recently listening to this favorite song and seeking God’s eyes so I won’t ever forget or ignore those He puts in this ministry’s line of sight.
