It’s always interesting to me to watch how certain aspects of life are done differently around the world, specifically in Kenya.  Some examples are cooking (not only the food itself but the process of cooking), education, medical, etc. but for today’s example it’s construction.

Transporting material to the job site can be done in several different ways:

1-work on okemis toilet and shower (5)

transportation

and sometimes over dangerous pathways

1-bringing materials for okemi's toilet (2)

Many times, once the material is on site, the fundi (craftsman) has to construct a ladder or scaffolding before the actual construction can begin.

There’s no safety nets, harness, or hard hats for these tough fundi’s either and you’ll notice sometimes they are even barefoot!

We are so thankful for the team of volunteers who are helping to put roofs, floors and repairs on homes in Kenya.  They are hard working and are showing the love of Jesus to their neighbor.  Please consider becoming a partner with us if you aren’t already.

We thank you for your prayerful and financial support of Saved By God’s Grace as we continue pointing people to the one true hope, Jesus Christ, through acts of love and kindness.
