I’m going out on a limb here in saying many of you have probably witnessed God’s love in some way. If you haven’t I pray someone in your life can talk to you about receiving His love.
That love is being shown to many in Kenya through Saved By God’s Grace and it’s not always something you can see outwardly. A meal is given to grandmothers, school fees are paid for students and hospital bills are paid. You might see the smiles and hear the thanks but the following photos show you what the effects of God’s love in action look like.
This little boy was very malnourished and had terrible diarrhea. Our friend Ben found him in a home where his mother did not have the funds to take him to a doctor. Ben cleaned him up (I didn’t include the photo of him laying in his own excrement) and took him to the hospital.
At the hospital he underwent testing and was given fluids. He weighed 13 pounds and you can see he was underweight.
After some basic needs being met you can see what a difference it has made. Yes, this is the same little boy. Sitting up, eating…Praise God!!!
This is what your contributions are doing through Saved By God’s Grace. God’s love is not only being taught by word, but by action as well.
Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:15-17
