Our friends in Kenya continue to work tirelessly helping widows and orphans.

Joseck works in his shamba (garden) to help his family and he sells them at the local market where “proceeds supports C4kk Comunity outreaches.”  Joseck told me these are Black Nightshade and crotolaria vegetables and are the preferred vegetable in his area.

Ben continues to visit home bound people who are sick and have no one to care for them.  He brings medicines, food but more importantly he brings them love and tells them of a Heavenly Father who will hold them in His arms.

“You are the only one who opens and closes that door. My friends, my relatives have all abandoned me. If you don’t bring me food, no one else does. If you don’t bring me medicine, nobody else does, if you don’t come no one else does. If you don’t bathe me, no one else does. Please don’t get tired of helping people like us whom the world seems to have forgotten. In our bedridden state we pray for you because you are the only hope we have” ~ one of the bedridden person we visit almost daily.

I visited a lady that i have visited for a couple of months now. She is a widow. She has been battling breast cancer and loneliness. Every day whenever i could, I brought her food, pain medicine etc. Today as i brought her some cooked beans and rice she was very weak and low. I tried giving her the food, but in vain. She then held my hand tightly, and whispered, ” please help my daughter finish her studies”. Then what followed was some silence. She just breathed her last breathe with those words.

I love showing you the joys of this ministry, with smiling faces and children happy to be attending school (Peter works mainly with our kids and does a fantastic job) but much of this ministry is dealing with suffering and that isn’t a pretty picture.

However, Ben and Joseck see much pain in the people they visit and are oftentimes the last person to talk with that person.  During much of their visit they extol the love of Christ, pray with them, give a little food and medicine, bathe and are simply there to offer whatever comfort they can.

We rely on our donors to give as they are felt led so we in turn can buy medicines, roofs, education, beds, food and much more.  Your donation goes towards what you request or if there is no designation it goes to our general fund which in turn helps widows and orphans in times of distress.
