Cicilea has a mother (at the time this interview was taken, October 2008) but she has never visited her and her father’s whereabouts are unknown.
She was living with her grandmother when she was brought to Mercy Child Foundation in Koma, Kenya and (again at the time of this interview)her grandmother has visited her once.
Her birthday is in 1997 and she was born in Muranga, Kenya. (Many children do not know the date and sometimes the year is a guesstimate)
She has three brothers living elsewhere and three sisters living here at Mercy Child Foundation.
Her favorite color is red and she enjoys playing football (American soccer).
Her favorite class is math because she understands it. Her least favorite class is Social Studies because it’s hard.
She helps around the orphanage by sweeping, mopping and washing utensils and after chores she likes studying.
