Yesterday was not a good day…I totally blew it.  I got upset and when I get upset I tend to be very, very selfish.  In that state of mind I can rationalize my reactions and responses as “right” and “justified”.

After I calmed down I saw my attitude from a different perspective…from the perspective of the person on the receiving end and it wasn’t pretty.

During the evening I did pray for forgiveness and I know I received it:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 8:9

But I woke up this morning still feeling guilty.  Satan has a way of bringing up those old wounds to continue telling us we are worthless, no good, not able to do God’s will, etc. or in Seinfeld’s words…yada, yada, yada.

The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”  He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs…”  Matthew 8:31-32a

God has the power to direct demons and He certainly has the power to drive satan out of my thoughts of negativity.
