Yesterday (Tuesday) the electricity at home was in and out most of the day until finally it was OUT at 9pm and at 10:30am Wednesday morning it still isn’t on. It’s frustrating yet I am thankful that I was able to finish making my microwave popcorn during an on time, we just finished watching an episode of NCIS (we have them on DVD) when it went out for the evening, we were able to make dinner in the oven before it went out and we have a gas stove so we could still make breakfast.
Seems electricity is out all over Tala so I can’t even recharge at the Academy and the repairman is supposed to be getting the replacement part for the generator and repairing it today…after about a month and a half of hounding him about it. That means (if he does what he says he’ll do) we can at least run it for a couple of hours to keep the frozen stuff frozen and charge computers and phones.
And instead of sitting here thinking about what to write next I’m pushing it because I’m watching my battery slowly dwindle to zero. Guess I better end this and shut it down so I can at least check emails later tonight, but I’m hopeful we’ll have electricity soon…who am I kidding, this is Kenya for goodness sakes 🙂
