I’ve introduced you to Eric and Grace, now here is James. James is the eldest of Gideon and Pauline. As I mentioned before, James is a great kid (sorry James – young man!) I love his curiosity and his willingness to learn new things. I pray the Lord will guide him throughout his schooling and James will follow His lead.
And to remind you of who Gideon is, here he is with Pauline –
They have been our family since the first day we set foot on Kenyan soil. They help us with the culture shock of Kenya, they teach us their customs, they love us with the love the Lord has given to them. What a blessing they have been and continue to be in our lives. When God brings people together it just seems to work!
Gideon and Pauline help us with the budget for Nice View so we know how much food etc. is needed, they get us the best prices, they make sure the kids are clothed, fed, have medical attention when needed and make sure the kids are well taken care of and feel loved by those living at the orphanage with them.
They also help us get food, firewood etc. to Mercy Child Foundation (which is approximately 12 miles away from Nice View). And they are helping us with arrangements to have Madina taken to a hospital for help with her elephantiasis.
As this situation moves forward I will keep you posted as to her condition/treatment etc.
I will end this post with a quote from Samuel Mutie (a student at Nice View Academy) who recently wrote to his sponsor here in the US
“So I kindly request you to pray for our country during this hard time.”
