Plans are in the making for our new animal shelter.  The group from Michigan, coming to visit in August, will be working on this.

Yellow shows the existing “local cow” pen which will be moved to the end of this wall.  A wall will separate it from the road and a calf pen will be added…we are still praying the cows have a successful visit to the neighboring bull!

Blue shows the area where the new animal shelter will be located.  Grade cows (with an area for milking and a calf area), a poo pit next, then pigs and finally chickens.  Just FYI the cow and pig poo will be shoveled into the poo pit and the chicken waste is fed to the pigs.

Pink shows the latrine which is in the process of being completed.

Chuck has put in many hours researching the animal shelter…how to build it, size of stalls, etc.  And now he is putting all that onto paper and getting a list of materials needed.  Those materials will be (God-willing) ready for our visiting group!  Hope they are ready to work!

Oh and the play area is coming along nicely!
