What a day filled with God’s blessings. I know we are showered every day with blessings but I’m talking those out of the ordinary blessings….ok, really there are no ordinary blessings but I hope you get where I’m going with this.
The day started with group photos….remember 15 team members, 5 staff (including me and Chuck) and 29 kids! I have to say though the kids were great!
Then the FBC team gathered in “the pit” (aka future mission home) to dedicate the project to the Lord.
The team then started their last day of work and Eric helped Bosco cut/pull down a tree…..
Later in the afternoon Chuck was given a surprise! He was shocked and said “this could feed the kids for a month” to which the team replied….”we knew you would never buy one for yourself so we bought it for you to use around C4KK”
Towards evening Brady and Shelly wanted to renew their wedding vows…what a blessing and privilege that was! C4KK’s first recommitment ceremony!
It was then time for the reception. FBC team members made an American meal with Spaghetti O’s, mac & cheese, goldfish crackers, jello, oatmeal squares, pretzels with cheese dip and other American treats.
After dinner the kids put on a program with the songs (with sign language) they learned…we have some talented kids!
So you can see how this was a blessed day…oh and one more piece of luggage was brought back. It seemed to be a combination of John and Eric’s luggage so most of the valuable items were returned. Except John’s Starbucks was missing…bummer!
Lord you are the provider of all things, You move people to serve, give and love. By loving us so much you overflow our hearts to pass that love along to others. This week has been a testament to You, Your love and glory. May Your light continue to shine at C4KK…whether here in Kenya or across the ocean!
Hi Tammy and all,
We are all americans again. And of course George Jrs. luggage never made it to Detroit. It was never put on the plane in Amsterdam. The flight was good (no complications) but man is it a long flight. We miss you guys already and thanks again for all that you guys have done for us. You made us feel very welcome. P.S. Don’t tell Bobbie how bad my grammer is. LOL
Love you guys,
Shelly
