After such a fun day we decided to extend the fun into the evening.  Chuck and I stayed the night at C4KK (the boys are at school so there was room for us) so we could show a movie as per our regular Saturday routine.  We arrived at C4KK tired, sweaty and hungry from the day but after a rest (I think only by me, the kids were busy playing with their squirt guns!) we began to prepare for dinner and movie.  Then the electricity went out and we began scrambling to get the generator hooked up (I won’t go into details but, wiring done incorrectly so we can’t hook the generator up at Roman’s room or because of the smell and noise we couldn’t hook it up in the boys rooms).  We ended up finding a long cord to use as an extension and placed the generator outside.

Movie night was then on but half the kids fell asleep during it!  We usually show the movie earlier in the day but since we were gone it had to happen after dinner.  After the movie it was bed time…thank goodness!  But I’m definitely not as young as I used to be and those bunk beds are not the easiest thing to sleep on (sorry group now I know how you felt!) plus the mosquitoes were out in full force and a few decided to sleep under the net with me.

But we made it through the night, had some chai for breakfast and then celebrated September birthdays before heading home.

Edward picked out a Michigan hat from the treasure box for his gift

Overall the kids had a great weekend….ok, I did to 🙂
