I am attempting to start some sort of exercising, which will most likely be walking around the compound. Any further outside the boundaries of our compound and I run the risk of being asked to visit a cousin, uncle, friend, son, daughter, whoever it may be in the area by someone I don’t even know and that’s not my idea of exercise. So I started today by walking around the compound, in the area of the animal shelter and commercial shamba. At least until the shamba is planted and it’s not raining I can walk here.
The only problem which has arisen…..the area down wind from the neighbors latrine! Needless to say, I walk a bit faster in that area 🙂
Edward received a birthday gift from his sponsor. Boy was he excited! The boys were all jealous of the car! But Edward is the sweetest boy, he sat at the table with his leggo-type blocks and car and let everyone take turns playing.
Chuck and I also went to our neighbors to see how his home construction is coming along. It’s a very nice home and I joked with the mzee (elderly gentleman) who owns the home that I may live with him for awhile until we can get our home built! He really is a sweet guy and gave me some popcorn 🙂 He also showed us how as a young boy they would cook sweet potatoes:

Chuck’s been busy with electrical issues and the progress continues on the showers. The kids are in tutoring class right now and it’s just about time to shut things down here at C4KK and head home.
