Here’s a couple examples of situations dealt with on a regular basis here. It’s not like these are life threatening but frustrating nonetheless….
Chuck left early the other morning (around 6:30 am) to meet a guy in Tala who was giving C4KK some banana trees…he never showed and didn’t show up the entire day (after being called and telling Chuck “I’m coming” which could mean that day or three days later!)
Also a guy was supposed to be at C4KK around 10 am to work on an oil leak on the truck. He was going to come, check out what he needed, head to town to pick up the part(s), come back and fix the leak….he never showed either.
And today I sit, thankfully working on the computer, waiting for a board meeting to begin which should have started 2 hours ago.
You see, they aren’t huge issues but we face this lack of respect for other peoples time all the time. It was quite refreshing when our insurance guy called 1/2 hour before he was to meet us confirming the appointment and then proceeding to show up 20 minutes early!
I’ll probably never get used to this, and I wonder if I really should? Being respectful of others time seems to blossom into respect for so much more….basically respect for the other person in general.
