It is Sunday today and our day has only a couple of hours left in it. I really don’t have much to write so I’ll give you the low-down on what our day looked like.
We had a relaxing breakfast, which is our usual routine on Sundays since we do not head up to C4KK and therefore have time for a nice breakfast and even better conversation.
While having breakfast I was thinking about the rest of the morning and how I was going to reply to a few emails and Facebook messages. Those plans changed when the electricity went out just before turning on my computer. So instead I put away clean clothes, read my devotional (I have to confess I was a few days behind) and dusted the furniture…exciting, right!?
We decided to turn on the generator for a bit and was lucky enough to turn it on in time to watch Starsky & Hutch on tv 🙂 Then we turned off the generator, since we weren’t sure exactly how long electricity would be out we wanted to conserve the gas and use it for refrigerator purposes, if needed. But lo’ and behold the electricity came back on!
Once that happens it’s routine to make sure everything is plugged in and charging! Luckily it stayed on the rest of the day. So I was able to reply to those emails and messages. Then we had dinner, watched some Obama documentary and had a relaxing evening.
Nothing urgent, nothing spectacular, nothing extraordinary…..but a nice Sunday nonetheless. I’m thankful for this time of rest and with that I’m off to bed…goodnight y’all!
