Not exactly your typical Saturday, but close.
With 29 kids there are bound to be several birthdays during one month so we’ve decided to celebrate birthdays monthly. Today we celebrated May birthdays which included Caleb, Ceciliah, Pius and Esther. Esther was with Ann (house mom) visiting Ann’s daughter but she was included in the celebration. We had juice (a treat) and everyone received biscuits (cookies). However, the birthday kids got two packages and the boys received a bouncy ball while the girls received a bracelet. We don’t emphasize gifts but we celebrate the fact they are created by God and are loved. I hope their smiles tell you how happy they are to be part of a family!

After lunch and the birthday celebration we collected ufobia (have no idea how it’s spelled but it is pronounced you-foe-bee-ah). Thanks go out to our night watchman, John, for donating it!
