We spent Christmas Day at Bosco’s home and during the course of the day we visited some of his family. I thank God for the beautiful family and beautiful day spent celebrating the birth of our Salvation!  It was so nice in fact I got sunburn.

I will have more photos of our Christmas Day celebration in tomorrow’s post (electricity/internet pending!) but today here is a short video of one of our visits.

This is Bosco’s maternal grandmother. They estimate her age to be somewhere around 110!  Her memory is incredible, it is her eyesight and hearing which are not as young as they used to be and her legs are not strong but when she wants to sit outside she simply calls family and they come to carry her outside!  The song she is singing to Bosco is a traditional song which was sung when the men went into the woods to hunt.  It was a song to send them along safely and pray they get food.
