“1 June, commemorates the day that Kenya attained internal self-rule in 1963, preceding full independence from the United Kingdom on 12 December 1963.”  (Wikipedia)

This means a public holiday and a kink in my plans.  I was going to the Academy to work out some scheduling with Gideon and the principal but alas, school will be closed today.  Guess that means I’ll be heading to Nice View tomorrow.

Oh and it signifies the month in which our daughter, Tarrin, will be coming to visit!  Anyway, happy Madaraka Day everyone 🙂
