Here are a few photos to show you how your assistance, through the Benevolence Fund, is helping families and children:

Mary was alone and when our friends found her she “looked hopeless and sickly. She had just buried her mother a couple of weeks ago and someone took her from the village some 400kms away only to come and abandon her on the streets of Nakuru. She spent two nights out there in the cold….”

until some children found her and brought her to their one roomed house where she has been staying until we found her and brought her to ours. We took her to the hospital and just after two days the skin disease that was bothering her is now disappearing.”  Now Mary, far left, is attending school (she had never been in school before).

Another family (mom with 5 children) who was found living in the bush (mom gave birth to her fifth child outdoors) is now in a one-room rental…this is how they slept together outside

Grandma Margaret’s home has been reroofed.  Here’s the condition of the iron sheets which made up her previous roof:

When grandma was asked how they slept during the rains she said they huddled in a dry corner and slept.

Hezekiah had both legs amputated and continues to have problems (not being able to afford medication for infections being one of the issues).  He lives with his mom and she has neighbors come each morning to take Hezekiah outside. We are working on getting his medication and a good samaritan has offered to donate a wheelchair…praise God!

We aren’t solving world hunger but hope (along with meeting some physical needs) is given to families and children who are starving for human interaction, to know someone cares and to witness the love of Christ this side of Heaven.

If you’d like to be a part of bringing hope to families like these please consider a one time donation or becoming a monthly supporter of the Benevolence Fund through Saved By God’s Grace .  Every dollar goes to helping the families.  Simply visit our secure, online donation site and choose “Benevolence Fund” from the allocation drop down box.
