Shouldn’t we all believe in second chances? I personally believe Jesus gave the ultimate sacrifice of His life to give us all a second chance (and third and fourth, but that’s for a different conversation) to live with Him eternally.
I can’t speak for other nationalities but it seems Americans love to cheer on the underdog, we love to see second chances being used for the good of a community (here are some second chances we’ve been involved with….water, testimonies, housing, education).
Perhaps some of you have been a part of giving someone a second chance, either through this ministry or some other ministry, outreach, community project or any other number of ways and for that I say God bless you and thank you.
But maybe someone out there has been looking for a way to make a difference in someones life and I’m here to provide you with an opportunity to assist.
Our friend Ben in Kenya tells us the story of Shamza…
Education can mean a more promising future for girls. Meet Shamza 18. She is in form four (12th grade) and on her final year in high school. She is a bright student and she has a dream of becoming a special school teacher, but being fatherless with no one to pay her school fees for this year she may not achieve her dreams. Currently, she is out of school because she was sent to go fetch the fees. She lives deep in the village with her grandmother who is ailing and can no longer work to pay the fees. Anyone out there willing to help Shamza complete her secondary school education?
For $180 Shamza can complete her secondary education and graduate Form 4. Is that something you can help with? If so, please visit our Donate page for more information on how to donate. If you’d like to help give this girl a second chance please write “Shamza” in the comment section when filling out the online donation form.
Maybe you can join us on this ongoing mission to educate, house, heal and change the lives of those we encounter in Kenya by becoming a monthly supporter of Saved By God’s Grace.
