Please allow me to share a couple of stories with you from our friend Ben in Kenya.  Sometimes I feel the need to apologize for the graphic nature of some of our photos but then I remember, from the very beginning of this ministry, the Lord basically showed me my “job” for His service through Saved By God’s Grace was to tell the story.  The way in which many individuals live can be graphic but it’s their life, it’s their story and it’s their reality.

These are neither unique nor one-time events, it is every day life for many.  Here at Saved By God’s Grace we are attempting to do as much as we can, reaching out to those who are abandoned, sick and feeling hopeless.  We are not only providing them with physical necessities but spiritual as well.  Holding a hand, washing bodies, treating an illness, giving food are all ways in which we are showing the love of our Heavenly Father and sharing the life giving message of His Son, Jesus.

Ben writes,

Hi bro. Allow me to share what i have been doing. First, let me start by sharing about a lady that has been abandoned with no one to take care of her. She was very sick when i first met her, but she is improving a lot. She has no clothes, beddings etc. They were heavily soiled and her landlord threw them away. I bathe her almost daily and wrap her in a sack so that she doesn’t sleep on the dirt floor. Her name is Mary. Sorry about the picture.

The second story is about a widow that had been sent out of her late husband’s land. She had children who also died leaving her the burden of raising the orphans left behind. I heard her cry and with part of the funds you sent last time, i bought her some iron sheets, timber and nails. We ran out of iron sheets, but the House is almost finished. The fundi’s estimates were not accurate that’s why the space for two mabatis remained.

The heart can be so steeped in despair when you are alone, afraid, hungry, hurting that the tiniest light can dispel the hopelessness.  Saved By God’s Grace and Caring for Kenya’s Kids (our Kenya sister organization) are going into the villages, slums and communities in Kenya and sharing the Light of Jesus’ gospel.  We are sharing by doing and your partnership with us would be appreciated.

Please consider becoming a supporter of this ministry and bring a little light into the world.

Thank you for prayerfully considering and may God bless you today as you seek His guidance.
