Today, we visited this family living in the “London” slums in Nakuru. A widow and her four children. The lady is suffering from stroke that has affected her badly including her speech. To make matters worse mama and her children are on ARVs with no food and basics. Rent is in arrears of over one year. I told them by the grace of God I will help them in their journey as they battle with disease, stigma, rejection etc.

Ingredients for chapati were handed out to needy families, now they can make this special treat at Christmastime. The lines were long but everyone involved received their packages and went home happy.

There were also “chapati parties”! Preparing this yummy flat bread became a community event for many families…my mouth is watering because I remember just how delicious this is!

Our volunteers in Kenya also invited orphaned children to their homes for a special meal.

Because of your generous donations grandmothers, grandfathers, orphans and widows received chapati ingredients for this holiday season.

Thank you for your continued support and may you have a blessed holiday season!
