Grandmothers in two of our food programs received a special gift for Christmas.
One group received a bright, warm sweater while the other group were given kanga’s. These are colorfully, printed material squares and are tied around the shoulders. However, many women in Kenya use them for various purposes including an apron or to carry items home from the market or to tie around their back with a baby.
Thank you to all who contributed to this special Christmas celebration with our many Kenyan grandmothers! They were surprised and grateful for being remembered during the holiday season.
