Showing some love on this day that is set aside for love….although we should show love every day because God loves us every day!

Saved By God’s Grace has built a home for a mom of three children.  Her husband died from an accident while she was pregnant and she recently gave birth.  When her husband died his family kicked them off the land (this is typical, unfortunately).  She had a neighbor who would at least let her and her children sleep in their cow shed with the cows.

Please, don’t simply read over that last line but really try to imagine being a mom with two small children and a newborn, sleeping on the dirt floor where cows are also sleeping.

Her situation came to our attention and we were able, with your donations, to build her small family a home to call their own.

Saying thank you to our donors just doesn’t seem to be enough but really it’s all we have to offer plus the smiles on the kids’ faces to show their gratefulness for your generosity.

This is where the family slept before their home was built.  Mom is spreading out a sack that had beans or rice in it to protect them from the dirt floor.

This beautiful family now will sleep under a roof, safe behind sturdy walls and rest their heads on a real bed with a mattress instead of the dirt floor.

Thank God this newborn will not remember having to sleep on a dirt floor but instead be warm and safe with mom on a bed

The new home!

Forgive me for not updating you on every thing Saved By God’s Grace does…it’s a lot by His grace and your donations!  My prayer is you will know, by these updates, how much your generosity helps families in Kenya and that our expression of thankfulness just can’t cover the magnitude of it.

Thank you for continuing your support of this ministry and if you are on the fence about helping, please prayerfully consider joining us as we spread the love of Christ through meeting physical needs to our brothers and sisters in Kenya, Africa.
