Saved By God’s Grace is asked to assist when someone is in “hospital prison”.  What does that mean?  Well, if a person goes to the hospital and receives treatment but they are unable to pay, they are kept in the hospital (being charged a fee each day) until payment is made.  Some parents are unable to come up with a large sum of money for payment but the daily charges continue to pile onto the bill, making release from “hospital prison” even more difficult.

Alvin was taken to Kenyatta National Hospital for a twisted bowel.  The surgery was successful but the cost, $900, was something Alvin’s father could not obtain.  He was fundraising and at the time we put this need out to you he only raised $6, with the daily charge of $1.50 adding up.  He was in need of help to get his boy home with him.

An email was sent to our mailing list on Saturday, March 26 and that Sunday and Monday funds came in to cover Alvin’s hospital bill!  Funds were sent and Alvin is now home with his dad!

Alvin’s father sent a letter to C4KK (Caring for Kenya’s Kids, our sister organization in Kenya) thanking God for your help.  I am so grateful for our brothers and sisters in Christ on the ground in Kenya being the hands and feet of Jesus through your donations!

Your donations made that possible and I thank you for your sacrifical giving!

Saved By God’s Grace has two other projects we are requesting assistance.

Lydia is a widow with four children and is the Praise and Worship team leader at her church.  The village where she lives is trying to get her “inherited” by her late husband’s brother, basically this means he won’t help her unless she sleeps with him.  However, because of her faith she has refused and is now being treated as an outcast and given no help.

The cost of a new home for Lydia and her children is $3,500.

Here is Lydia in her current home–

The other is a project to help women make fans and sell them at the local market for an income for themselves and their families.

To get the material needed to start is around $1,500.

Here is a sample of the fans to be made and sold–

Thank you to everyone who helped bring Alvin home!  Praise God people are seeing the love of Christ!

If you’d like to help with either of these projects please visit our Donate page to give securely online.

God’s blessings on you during this Easter season.
