Oh boy, 2020 has been quite a year, wouldn’t you agree!?  As I mentioned in my last blog post I know this year has been a challenge for many of us.  I pray as you move into 2021 your heart will give thanks for all the blessings God has bestowed on us…you just have to look 🙂

Our brothers and sisters in Kenya have also been challenged.  Due to the pandemic many necessities were just simply not available.  Saved By God’s Grace continued working in Kenya through the provision God provided through you.

Thank you for your generous giving which allowed us to take care of the medical issues and the two houses (those were mentioned in the previous two blog posts, here and here)!

For those who receive Chuck’s regular Saved By God’s Grace email updates you probably know this story, but for those who don’t (if you’d like these updates please contact us and we can add your email address to our list)….

Violet is a young mother whose husband left her several months ago, leaving her with a young child and pregnant.  She was having issues so our friend Ben took her to the hospital and they found the baby had died in her womb.  They refused to help because she didn’t have any money.  At the time funds weren’t coming in to help so Chuck and I, through prayer, personally assisted. Ben was able to get her to the hospital where they did an emergency abortion. She is now recovering well.

We were also told of her living conditions and this too we were able to help with.

Her new apartment

Before, Violet and her child (while she was pregnant) had to sleep on the cold, dirt floor.

Now they have a new bed, complete with mattress and blankets.

Saved By God’s Grace was also able to buy Violet some cooking supplies.

Her little one got a treat of loaf (bread).

Again, we thank you for your help, for Violet and the others who benefitted from your generosity.

My last plea of 2020 is for the many families, widows, orphans and elderly we work with who are part of the various Christmas projects around Kenya.

We need around $4,000 to help supply:

Chapati (a Christmas treat of flat bread).  Chuck and I had this many times during our time in Kenya and it is a treat and very delicious!

Buying sweaters for our grandmothers in Ruiru (this is from 2018)

Gifts for our volunteer builders who provide free labor throughout the year building all our houses

and assistance to many families who literally will have nothing this year unless someone helps out.

If you can help please visit our Donate Page and give what you can…every little bit helps.  Also don’t forget our Gifts of Hope page where you can find unique items for a family or student in need in Kenya…live chicken or goat, semester of school or maybe even a house!

My prayer for us all, me included, is that God’s will be evident in your life as you seek His mercy and grace, each and every day!

God Bless
Merry Christmas
Happy New Year
